Benefits of NiMH and Li-ion Batteries**
- NiMH packs do not have a memory.
- NiMH packs never require cycling.
- NiMH packs hold their charge longer and deliver high rates of power until empty.
- Unlike NiCds, Nickel Metal Hydrides are environmentally safe.
Care for your NiMH Batteries
NiMH packs do not require cycling! They do not require a special charger! Your present NiCd slow chargers will work fine. Just charge overnight!
Here are some of the rates for fast chargers, (any NiCd type charger is ok)
- 850mAh "AAA" 0.7A maximum
- 2560mAh "AA" 1.5A maximum
- 2700mAh "A" 2.0A maximum
- 3600mAh sub "C" 2.0A maximum
You must decide how long to charge depending on how much power is needed to bring the pack to full power. Some chargers with "peak detectors" will do this.
Care for your Li-ion - Li-poly Batteries
Li-ion / Li-poly packs do not require cycling! They do require a dedicated charger which automatically shuts off when full charge is reached. Do not use any charger that is not specifically made for Li-ion/Li-poly cells. This can cause serious fires.
On receiver packs of over 5.5V a voltage regulator must be used to reduce the voltage to 6 volts or less.
**All packs are guaranteed to be free from defects for one year. We will repair or refund any purchase if you are not satisfied. We want you to be happy with your batteries and recommend them to your friends.
WHY SLOW CHARGING IS BEST. In order to get the total battery electrolite energized you must use slow charging. This way all the potential power is activated. Fast charging doesn't charge all the chemical even though the pack reads full. It takes 5 -8 times of very slow charging to bring your packs to full potential. The use of overnight wall chargers is highly reccommended. Remember, a warm pack is full and a hot pack is overcharged!
